FutureWork Immersion event series
This year we will trial a brand-new series titled FutureWork Immersion, in addition to our extraordinary lineup of standard events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
In this series, we’ll be taking a group of students inside an industry workplace relevant to their studies. In groups students will be presented with a case-study and asked to design solutions to real problems and projects. Students will finish the day presenting their ideas to the company.
This is a great opportunity to be noticed by professionals working within your desired industry.
If you’re looking for some experience to add to your resume and a chance to network with first-class organisations, then keep an eye on our events page in Semester 1.
New EPP Hub
If you’re studying engineering with UQ you’ll need to complete Engineering Professional Practice (EPP) in order to graduate. This year we are launching a new system which will make claiming EPP hours simpler and easier.
Here is a summary of the main changes you can expect:
- We’ve reduced the mandatory hours you will need to claim from 450 down to 430.
- All hours and approvals will now be tracked in your EPP Hub – an intuitive and integrated system opening Semester 1.
- New modules will be available for you to access online and claim against your hours.
