Degree: Bachelor of Architectural Design
Who or what made you choose to study this?
I have always had a passion for the built environment. Most of my childhood was spent building with Lego and creating scale-model environments. Architecture seemed like a natural progression as it followed the core of what I enjoyed so much as a kid; crafting unique experiences through the manipulation of a built form.
What do you love most about your degree?
I enjoy the freedom to express my creativity in a meaningful way, and the option to approach a problem through my own particular perspective.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
ARCH1140 – learning about the vernacular, and particularly the way architecture was (and still is) a direct response to the needs of a people and the demands of a place, was incredibly inspiring and revealing.
