What do you love most about your degree?

While I sometimes find myself overwhelmed by the coursework, there's a deep sense of satisfaction that comes from understanding new and difficult concepts. It's a journey of continual learning and growth, where every breakthrough reinforces my belief that I have the ability to achieve/create anything I set my mind to. Despite the occasional struggle, the opportunity to innovate and make a meaningful impact keeps me motivated and excited for what lies ahead.

What’s been your favourite course so far and why?

I really enjoyed the hands-on aspect of doing a team project for ENGG1100. The opportunity to work on a team project was particularly appealing to me, and I had a lot of fun with constantly tweaking, upgrading, and testing our firefighting robot. Now, as I embark on the Mechatronics Team Project 1 this semester, I eagerly anticipate a similar dynamic. I look forward to once again immersing myself in a project, collaborating with my peers, and applying concepts I have learnt in past subjects into a physical creation.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?

This advice would apply to any university, but I think attending classes and lectures in person is really important. Even if you can access the content online, it is so beneficial to meet your classmates and teachers and to build friendships within your degree.
