Degree: Bachelor of Design / Bachelor of Business Management
Who or what made you choose to study this?
I chose this degree as opposed to a bachelor of arts, because I really wanted to study Anthropology. It was a happy coincidence that as soon as I started Design I loved it and knew it was for me.
What do you love most about your degree?
I love the multi-disciplinary aspects of the course and exploring how design thinking can be used to approach many different areas.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
DSGN2100 has been my favourite course so far because it gave students a chance to utilise all of the skills learnt in previous courses and apply them to a project that was had selected and developed ourselves. We also learnt invaluable pitching skills and my group was incredible.
The best piece of advice I could give someone considering studying at UQ is…
Apply yourself to getting involved with all your degree has to offer. If you spend time making relationships with academics, societies and partners of the uni, they will really go the extra mile for you.
