Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical and Aerospace)
Who or what made you choose to study this?
When I was in year 8 I was lucky enough to attend a space camp to the US where we attend astronaut training and met former astronauts and current NASA engineers. Listening to them speak was amazing and it made me want to be part of that industry, so I decided aerospace engineering was the way to go!
Why did you choose to study at UQ?
I did a tour of UQ and saw the amazing faclilites, like UQ innovate, and I saw how much the students loved studying here and decided that this would be the best decision for my future. Also the amazing research centres and the opportunities offered to us there were a huge bonus for me.
What do you love most about your degree?
I love the challenging concepts that we discuss and learning new things everyday – I love speaking with my friends after a lecture/tutorial/workshop where we have learnt a new concept and discussing it with them and pulling it apart, even when none of us understand it and sit there googling every other word!
