Who or what made you choose to study this?
I've had a natural inclination towards computers since childhood. My interest in basic programming languages started when I was 10 years old
I was really excited to have the opportunity to major in Machine Learning as part of my undergraduate degree. I was intrigued by the applications of Machine Learning in various disciplines. During the course o f my study, I was drawn towar ds Cyber Security and decided to pick it up as my
second major.
What do you love most about your degree?
My degree combines theory with hands on e xperience, providing for a well rounded understanding of computer technology. The program also has a flexible course structure that allows me to pursue my interests as well as enhance my degree. The applications of this program span across all discipline s including science, engineering, business and commerce, creative and performing arts and the humanities. This gives me a flexible approach with a vast variety of career outcomes.
Tell us a bit about any internships you've participate in.
I worked as a Vacation Student Data Scientist with Rio Tinto during Summer 2021/2022. I thoroughly enjoyed applying the theory I’ve learnt at university to the real world problems. This experience enhanced my skills and motivated me to pursue a career in Machine Learning.
