Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical and Biomedical)
Who or what made you choose to study this?
I have a passion for Design, Technology, and creativity so that drew me to engineering. Particularly, I was especially drawn to Biomedical Engineering for its ability to apply engineering principles to find solutions or improvements to grand problems impacting people’s lives.
What do you love most about your degree?
I enjoy that the courses integrate Design and Technology within them and offer great foundational learning to go off into any of the wide variety of sub-disciplines that you’re hoping to get into. The degree itself is also quite flexible in that many courses offer both online and in-person elements which are great for studying at your own pace.
Have you participated in any internships / work? If so tell us a bit about it, what did you enjoy most about the experience?
I’ve had the privilege and chance to work at a global technology company which has offered me the chance to engage with people who are passionate about technology and learn new skills and see technology services in action at a larger level. My advice to newcomers is to explore opportunities that you’re interested in and keen to work in and go forward with them!
