Bachelor of Computer Science / Master of Data Science, fourth year
Who or what made you choose to study this?
My parents have both worked in the industry so I would like to explore it as well.
Why did you choose to study at UQ?
UQ has a great reputation and ranking.
What do you love most about your degree?
My degree opens up a window for me to view the power of computer science.
What’s been your favourite course so far and why?
INFS3202. The lecture was very engaging, and the content learnt gave me a very clear introductory overview of distributed database.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone considering studying at UQ, what would that be?
Shapren your time management skills so that you you could keep up with all studying (especially assignments) at uni.
Have you participated in any internships / work? If so tell us a bit about it, what did you enjoy most about the experience?
Yes. I have done two UQ AI internship. I enjoyed it because my superviser was very kind and I leart a lot during the internship.
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
I hope to find a job related to data science.
Are you a member of any student societies / participate in extracurricular activities? Tell us a bit about it.
I am an instructor in Junior engineering, which organises extracurricular coding classes in primary school.
