Have you participated in any internships / work? If so tell us a bit about it, what did you enjoy most about the experience?
I was a Math/English/Chemistry/Biology tutor for middle school students in China until 2018. I also worked as a Chinese tutor for people from the USA who moved to China in 2017. I have been working on my placement as a pilates instructor. I enjoy being a tutor to help students to understand the concepts and work out some solutions for some problem together. In this way, I can help people but at same time get to know different people and be more mindful of how to communicate with others. I also like building connections with different people.
Are you a member of any student societies / participate in extracurricular activities? Tell us a bit about it.
I joined UQ LIT, SASS, Skirt, and some engineering and social clubs. I like to go to the social events mostly to meet more people but sometimes I also attend some networking events to seek some opportunity in the IT industry.
