The application process involves the following processes:

  1. Application to UQ
  2. Nomination to host institution
  3. Application to host institution

In order to be considered, you must first meet UQ's internal eligibility requirements.

  2. Ensure you meet eligibility requirements
  3. Request a progression check
  4. Submit your application

Provided you receive an offer from your host institution, you can then being preparing to depart for your IDD experience.

In preparing to depart, there are several considerations to be made:

  • Attend a pre-departure briefing by EAIT International
  • Plan to complete as many compulsory courses at UQ as possible in your final semester
  • Start thinking about what you would like to do for your placement/project semester. Most pathways allow students to complete their placement/project requirements at either UQ or the host institution
  • Look at funding opportunities to help support your costs while away
