  3. Application to host institution

In order to be considered, you must first meet UQ's internal eligibility requirements.

8. Additional considerations

  • Tuition fees: During the International Double Degree students remain enrolled and pay fees to UQ. No tuition fees are paid to the host university.
  • Accommodation: Finding accommodation is the responsibility of the student; however, the accommodation office of your host university will provide information on recommended accommodation options and how to apply.
  • Visa: You will need to apply for a student visa for your host country and your host university will guide you through this process
  • Insurance: As an enrolled student you will be advised by your host university regarding student insurance within your country of study. However, it is also recommended that you purchase personal travel insurance to cover any weekend or recreational trips outside of your host country.
  • Work: You will need to check the student visa rules for each specific country, but often students can work part time while on a student visa if they would like to.
